ICIBM 2019 Travel Award
Travel awards for students and postdocs are being made available for ICIBM 2019 through a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant (pending). All students (both graduate and undergraduate) and postdocs who are submitting a paper and/or abstract on which they are the first author are highly encouraged to apply for this travel award. Applications for the ICIBM 2019 Travel Award must be received by May 1, 2019 to be considered. There will be up to 20 of these travel awards available, made possible through the awarded NSF grant. Please see the details below regarding the specific criteria and how to apply.
Information
The goal of the ICIBM 2019 Travel Award is to encourage the participation of young scientists in training, including both graduate/undergraduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
To be considered for an award the candidate must:
Submit a paper/abstract for the conference.
Be the first author on the paper/abstract.
Must be a student or postdoctoral fellow.
Complete and submit the award application form by the deadline.
Complete and submit the travel award application form before the deadline. The form can be downloaded from here. Please send the completed form to Award committee chair by May 1, 2019.
Review Criteria
All applications will be reviewed and evaluated based on the submitted paper/abstract by the following criteria: (1) relevance to the topics of the conference, (2) significance of the work, (3) clarity of the presentation, and (4) soundness of the data.
Winners will be notified via email prior to the meeting and publicly announced during the closing ceremony.
